"I was disappointed when the plants showed up..."
I was disappointed when the plants showed up. A few leaves were already yellow and crispy, and one of them looked half dead right out of the box. I tried to give it some care and see if it would bounce back, but it just kept getting worse. I guess shipping plants can be hit or miss, so I’ve kind of accepted that, but this still wasn’t what I was expecting.

"Helpful, just took a little while..."
Customer service was really nice and answered all my questions... I did have to wait a bit longer than I expected, but they eventually got everything sorted out

"They definitely seemed to know the Austin..."
They definitely seemed to know the Austin areas well, which I appreciated. I wouldn’t say it was amazing or anything, but the local advice felt solid and gave me a better idea of where to look.

"Staff seemed lost"
The staff seemed a bit unsure about things and weren’t really that helpful. I was hoping for more guidance, but they didn’t seem very informed

"Nice pottery finds without any hassle"
I found some really cute pottery and a few nice decor pieces here. I’m usually a little cautious about buying fragile items, but everything looked well-made and felt like a safe pick. No complaints from me.

"Wish I’d Checked the Parking Situation First"
The place itself was fine, but the parking was such a hassle. I ended up circling around for a while, and most of the nearby spots were either taken or super unclear on whether I was even allowed to park there. If you’re in a hurry, it’s definitely not convenient. Kind of regret not reading reviews first so I knew what I was getting into.

"I checked out tngaustin.com hoping they’d have..."
I checked out tngaustin.com hoping they’d have a solid organic selection, but it felt a little "limited". There were a few organic items available, just not enough variety for what I was actually looking for.

The site itself was easy to browse, so that part was fine. I just ended up shopping somewhere else because I needed more organic choices. Not a bad experience, just a bit "disappointing" overall.

"Crowds were kinda a mess"
It was way too crowded when I went, and the lines were confusing. The staff looked busy, but there wasn’t much help with where people should go. It just felt kinda stressful and not as smooth as I was hoping it would be.

"I’ll give TNG Austin credit where it’s due..."
I’ll give TNG Austin credit where it’s due: they actually seem to care about waste and reuse instead of just hauling everything off like it magically disappears. The whole process was easy, and the staff answered my questions about what gets recycled, which I appreciated because half the time with these services you’re left guessing.
I’m going with 4 stars because I do wish their site had clearer info about where stuff goes after pickup. Like, just tell us! People who care about recycling want the details, not some vague “we handle it responsibly” kind of thing. Still, overall it was a solid experience and I’d use them again...

"Plant selection was a bit of a letdown"
I checked out tngaustin.com hoping they’d have a really good mix of plants, but the selection felt limited. A bunch of the plants I was looking for either weren’t listed at all or only had a few options, which was kind of frustrating.

Maybe it’s a lot better if you go in person, I’m not totally sure. The site itself was easy enough to browse, but when it came to actually finding plants, it just didn’t help me much. I ended up looking somewhere else.

"Pretty decent gardening tips"
It helped me out a bit, and I picked up a few useful ideas for my garden. That said, I still had some questions afterward, so it didn’t totally cover everything I was hoping for.

"Decent seeds, but I expected a bit more"
They had some good seeds, but I was hoping for a bigger selection. To be fair, I might’ve waited too long to shop or just had something super specific in mind, so that’s probably on me a bit

"I was already not in the mood to..."
I was already not in the mood to deal with another place that’s hard to navigate, and this one didn’t help. The signs were barely useful, and finding the right entrance turned into way more of a hassle than it should’ve been. I kept looping around, getting more annoyed, and eventually just left frustrated. They really need clearer directions and better wayfinding.

"Actually helpful workshops"
I went to a couple of the educational workshops through tngaustin.com and yeah, they were useful. Everything was explained in a way that was easy to keep up with, and it didn’t feel weird asking simple questions or anything. I also liked that they brought in real examples instead of just talking nonstop at everyone. I left with notes I actually ended up using later, so I’d definitely go again

"A lot of stuff was missing"
I was able to get some of what I needed, but way too many items were unavailable. What annoyed me most was getting the usual canned apology like that somehow makes up for it. I’d rather just have accurate stock info upfront.

"I was expecting a lot more for..."
I was expecting a lot more for what I paid. The whole thing feel kind of disappointing, and I just don’t think it’s worth the money.

"Seasonal selection didn’t really work for me"
I hopped on tngaustin.com because I was trying to track down a few specific plants for my own yard, the seasonal stock felt underwhelming. A lot of what I was hoping to find either wasn’t listed or looked like it wasn’t available.

I know plant availability changes depending on the time of year, but I wish the site made that clearer upfront. I spent more time clicking around than I wanted to, and for what I needed, it kind of felt like a waste.

Maybe I just checked at the wrong time, and maybe the selection is better in another season. For me though, this visit wasn’t very useful. Not awful, just disappointing

"Pickup was alright, but the wait was annoying"
I ordered pickup and it ended up being ready about 15 minutes later than expected. The food was still warm and tasted fine, so that part was okay, but waiting around was frustrating. What made it worse was there was barely any human contact, I couldn’t really get a clear update from anyone and it felt like I was just standing there guessing. The staff I did interact with was nice enough, but overall the pickup experience could’ve been smoother

"Helpful garden walk with a few quick takeaways"
I stopped by the demo gardens mostly assuming I’d just do a quick loop, but I actually ended up getting a few solid ideas for my own yard. Most of the plants were labeled clearly, so it was easy to figure out what I was looking at without overthinking it. I did notice a couple areas that seemed a little bare, though I’m guessing they might just be between seasons. Overall, it was a nice, easy place to walk through and pick up some inspiration.

"Could really use better upkeep"
The place was okay, but the rooms felt kinda dusty and a few things were broken when we got there. They didn’t seem to get fixed for a while, which was frustrating. Just feels like it needs more regular care, y’know?
